Team MCBARG were on site yesterday working around our gale demolished shed.

It was necessary to isolate our electrical feed to and from the shed and make it all safe for us to continue with our service. Nick G7KFQ and Alan G3XPY have made it safe and today spare parts permitting will rewire the repeater rooms so that the old shed system is totally redundant. We thank Alan for his electrical know how along with Nick who have saved the group considerable expense. They have also achieved minimum down time for our services. It still is possible that there will be a short interruption to our services when the final switch over is completed.

We regret the loss of our repeater. The repeater site suffered a total failure

of our electricity distribution point. This was due to the recent gale and we

have brought in experts to see how we might remedy the situation. There

may be on going costs to get us back on line and we may have to ask our

users and supporters to dig in their pockets for financial assistance. The

RSGB have been informed of our failure and your repeater group committee

are working to restore normal service as soon as possible.
